Elton Watson

Mr. Elton Watson, age 75, of Cedartown passed away Monday, May 20, 2019.

Mr. Watson was born February 27, 1944, in Cedartown son of the late Albert Watson and Mary Hendrix Watson. Elton always enjoyed traveling, dancing and fishing.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert & Mary Watson and brother Wiley Watson, Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Betty McCrary Watson; son & daughter in law, Lee & Danielle Watson; grandchildren, Benjamin, Jack, Ansley, Ava, Lizzie, Samuel and Eli; brother, Eddie Watson; sisters, Irene Wells, Elaine Shaw, Rachel Witt, Gertrude Shelstead and Jean Evans. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Mr. Watson’s wishes were to be cremated and the family will hold a service to celebrate his life in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 4:00 PM. The family has requested that only small floral arrangements be sent; however, they would prefer memorial contributions be made to Faith Missionary Baptist Church, 712 Smith Ave. Cedartown, Ga 30125 in Mr. Watson’s memory.

The family will also receive friends at Smith & Miller Funeral Home Saturday, May 25, 2019 from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
