Robert Lawrence "Larry" Best

Mr. Robert Lawrence “Larry” Best, Jr. age 66, of Cave Spring, GA, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021.

Larry was born in Ridgeland, SC on March 3, 1955, a son of the late Robert Lawrence Best, Sr. and the late Elaine Jones Best. Larry had lived the greater part of his life in Cave Spring and was a member of The Church at Rome. He enjoyed woodworking and blacksmith work, but his greatest love was his family and spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Thelma Terry.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Acker Best, to whom he was married on March 26, 1976; two daughters: Lauren Wigley and her husband Levi, Cedartown and Amy Rowe, Bedford, NH; grandchildren: Ava Ross, Lawson Wigley, Hunter Sarsfield, Maddie Sarsfield and Peyton Sarsfield; sister, Dee Simms and her husband Billy, Cave Spring; and step-father, Gerald “Honey” Lindsey and his wife, Reba, Rome.

Memorial services to celebrate Larry's life will be held Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 12:00 noon at Chubb Chapel with Minister Joey Haynes officiating and his wife, Sandra Best delivering the eulogy.

The family will receive friends on Saturday August 14, 2021 from 11:00 AM until the service hour at the church.
