Anne (Odom) Landrum

August 13, 1922 — December 31, 2016

Mrs. Anne Odom Landrum, loving known as “Miss. Belle”, age 94 passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016. She was born in the Fish Creek community on August 13, 1922, a daughter of the late George and Madge Odom. She lived most of her life in Cedartown. Mrs. Landrum proudly served her country in the United States Navy as a librarian.

She became a Christian in 1946 and became a member of the Second Baptist Church of Cedartown in 1947. The church was blessed to have her as a faithful dedicated member serving as secretary of the WMU for over 50 years as well as a Sunday School teacher for over 30 years. She also loved to sing in the choir. Mrs. Landrum was a retiree from the Goodyear Mill in Cedartown with 25 years of service.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Landrum; brothers: George Odom, Jr., Joe Odom, and Olin Odom; sisters: Frances Johnson, Jean Sutton, Mary Huff and Millie McDonald.

She is survived by her daughters and son in law, Julia Dobbs and Jane and Danny Brown; grandchildren: Randy and Michelle Dobbs, Hannah and Joe Colquitt III, Danya and Danny Herbermann; great grandchildren: Tyler Dobbs, Haven Dobbs, Harrison Colquitt, Jacob Herbermann and Taylor Sellers; sister, Joan and Cyress Wayne Biggers and several special nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service for Mrs. Anne Odom Landrum will be held on Monday January 2, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Second Baptist Church of Cedartown with Dr. Larry Conner and Rev. Bill Heaton officiating. The family has requested that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions be made to the building fund at Second Baptist Church

Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Grady McDonald officiating.

The American Legion Brewster - Cleveland Post #86 Honor Guard will be providing military honors.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Randy Dobbs, Tyler Dobbs, Joe Colquitt III, Kermit Landrum, Roger Landrum and Steve Landrum. Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Joe Dyer and the Ladies One Sunday School Class.

The family will be receiving friends at the Second Baptist Church from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour.
