Mr. Arthur Jackson “Jack” Lindsey, age 92, of Cedartown passed away Monday, December 16, 2024.
Mr. Lindsey was born in Cedartown, Georgia on April 19, 1932, son of the late A.T. Lindsey and Lula Bell Lindsey.
Mr. Lindsey proudly served the United States of America in the United States Airforce. He had a lengthy career in the lab at Inland Paper Mills for forty-two years and genuinely enjoyed his job there. Mr. Lindsey was a devoted Christian and taught Sunday School for over forty years. He was a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church and loved reading his Bible. Mr. Lindsey was a loving husband and found much joy in living.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Lindsey is preceded in death by sisters, Lucy E. Muller, and Lottie L. Pendley; brother, William Jesse Lindsey; and first wife, Maxie Watson Lindsey.
Mr. Lindsey is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Lela Liner Lindsey; children, Phillip David Lindsey (Linda), and Missy Hall (Casey); brothers, Herbert N. Lindsey (Wanda) of Rome, Georgia, and Herman Wayne Lindsey (Annette) of Muscadine, Alabama; sister, Patsy L. English (Bill) of Kennesaw, Georgia; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Lindsey will be held Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home with Reverend Danny Tucker and Reverend Barry Snapp officiating. Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery. Military rites will be provided by the Brown-Wright Post 12 Honor Guard.
Mr. Lindsey’s family will receive friends, also on Thursday at Smith & Miller Funeral Home, from 12:00 PM until the service hour.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Brandy Brady, Chris Barker, Henry “Sonny” Newton, Terry Lewallen, Tripp Barker, and Steve Holcomb.
