Barbara D. Vann

Mrs. Barbara D. Vann, age 73, of Yorkville, Georgia passed away Friday, May 7, 2021. She was born on November 25, 1947 in Marietta, Georgia to her late parents: Luke and Ruth Atkins.

Mrs. Vann was a loving wife to Rev. Jerry Vann, Sr. whom she married May 30, 1963. She was a dedicated Pastor’s wife always helping in her husband’s ministry. She loved to travel to the Smoky Mountains to enjoy God’s creations and always enjoyed her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Vann was preceded in death by her parents, Luke and Ruth Atkins; sisters, Annette Brown and Willie Murdock.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. Jerry Vann, Sr.; children, Jerry (Andy) Vann, Jr. and daughter and son in law, Kasha and Trevor Peek; grandchildren, Casey Camp, Matthew Vann, and Kayla Andrews; great grandchildren, Deacon Camp and Georgia Andrews; one sister, Alva Townsend. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, May 10, 2021 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Don Collett officiating.

The family will receive friends Monday, May 10, 2021 at Smith & Miller Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until the service hour. Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Casey Camp, Ridge Andrews, Scott Townsend, Freddie Townsend, John Vann, Jr., and Donald Murdock.
