Beatrice Parker

Mrs. Beatrice Parker, age 87, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2025.

Mrs. Parker was born July 2, 1937, in Cedartown, Georgia, daughter of the late Jo Thompson and Willie Zuker Thompson.

Mrs. Parker loved animals of all kinds and personalities. She especially loved spending time outdoors, tending to her flowers and enjoying nature. Above all things, she loved her family. She was a nurturing and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Parker is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mr. Lemon Parker; and siblings: Annie Mae Davis, TW “Jabbo” Thompson, JT “Jody” Thompson, Dorothy “Dot” Parrish, Bobby Thompson, James Thompson, and two infant brothers.

Mrs. Parker is survived by her children, Jean Atkins and her husband, David, and Tony Parker; six grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside funeral services to honor her life will be held Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 2:00 PM, in Greenwood Cemetery, with Mr. Gene Spears officiating.
