Mr. Benjamin “Karl” Lindsey, age 61, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
Mr. Lindsey was born August 13, 1963, in Cedartown, Georgia, son of Benjamin Newton Lindsey and Joan Packer Lindsey.
Mr. Lindsey proudly served his country in the United States Army. He had a passion for collecting and shooting guns, enjoying both as a hobby and a way to connect with others. He was also an avid football fan and reader. In the kitchen, Mr. Lindsey was a talented cook who loved creating delicious meals for those he cared about. He was a dedicated deacon at Shiloh Baptist Church for many years. He was a devoted and caring husband, father, and grandfather. Above all, Mr. Lindsey was most proud of his granddaughters. He adored them deeply and cherished every moment spent with them.
Mr. Lindsey was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Terry Harrell.
Mr. Lindsey is survived by his beloved wife, Mrs. Karen Lindsey; children: Kaleb Lindsey, and Kory Lindsey and his wife, Trish; god daughter, Angel Dawn Harrell; dearly loved granddaughters: Eleanor Grace “Ellie Grace” Lindsey, and Olivia Joan “Livi Jo” Lindsey; parents: Benjamin and Joan Lindsey; brother, Kirk Lindsey and his wife, Kim; mother-in-law, Diane Harrell; brothers in law, Dennis Harrell (Kim) and Jason Harrell; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Sunday, January 5, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Shiloh Baptist Church with Brother Jamie Newsome officiating. Eulogies will be given by Kory Lindsey and Dennis Harrell. Military Rites will be provided by Brown-Wright Post 12 Honor Guard.
Mr. Lindsey’s family will receive friends also on Sunday at Shiloh Baptist Church from 2:00 PM until the service hour.
