Carlton Harrison "Harry" Duggan

Mr. Carlton Harrison "Harry" Duggan, age 78, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2023.

Mr. Duggan was born November 15, 1944, in Rome, Georgia, son of the late James “Ham” Duggan and Edith Day Duggan.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Mr. Lynn Duggan.

Mr. Duggan was a graduate of Cedartown High School Class of 1962 and was a proud member and deacon of Lime Branch Baptist Church. He had faithfully served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from AT&T in 2000 after working 33 years for the company. After retirement, he spent much of his time fishing, gardening, and most importantly spending time with his grandchildren.

Carlton is survived by his wife of almost 60 years Dian Duggan; sons, David Duggan and his wife, Kelly, and Michael Duggan; grandchildren, Emily and Dow Turrentine, Mary Duggan, Mallory Duggan, Chris and Jess Duggan, and Zach and Melissa Duggan; great grandchildren: Simon, Ethan, and Mikey; and sister, Susan Flores. Several other extended family members also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Carlton Duggan will be held Monday, January 23, 2023, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home with pastor Brian Crisp officiating. Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery. Full Military rites will be provided by the American Legion Brown-Wright Post 12.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Lime Branch Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.

His family will receive friends Monday, January 23, 2023, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Smith & Miller Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Dow Turrentine, Chris Duggan, Zach Duggan, Joe Richardson, Sterling Knight, and Ryan Jacobs.
