Charles David “Preacher” Duncan, age 51, of Silver Creek, GA, passed away Friday, July 8, 2022.
David was born in Rome, GA, on February 25, 1971, son of Walter “Butch” Gruenwald and the late Zelda Hanner Gruenwald. He was a self-employed landscaper who enjoyed singing karaoke, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. David loved spending time with his grandchildren, watching movies and eating chocolate.
In addition to his mother, David was preceded in death by a nephew, Timothy Allmon.
David is survived by his wife, Melony LeHeup Duncan; children, Deanna Atkins, Kristina “Krissy” Duncan, Holly Duncan, and David Duncan; grandchildren, Annaleigh Nix, Elena Nix, Elliana Heath, and soon to be baby Maddox Heath ; sisters, Sabrina Allmon and Elizabeth Thorn; brothers, Danny Bickers and Tommy Couzzourt; uncle, Buster Hanner along with other family members and friends also survive.
A Celebration of Life for David will be held Saturday, July 16, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Smith and Miller Funeral Home with Mr. John Collette officiating.
David’s family will receive friends at Smith and Miller Funeral home Saturday, July 16, 2022, from 12:00 noon until the service hour.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
