Mr. Clarence Dewey Campbell, age 79, of Cedartown passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024.
Clarence was born December 3, 1944, in Cedartown. He was a son to the late William Leonard Campbell and Valenteen Waddle Campbell.
Clarence lived most of his life in Polk County. He was a retired “Over The Road” truck driver and owner of Campbell’s Shoe Repair for over 20 years. He was a Master Mason, Scottish Rites Mason, and Shriner. He was a devoted member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church and always made time to read his Bible. He was also a talented craftsman that enjoyed working in his woodshop.
In addition to his parents, Clarence is preceded in death by his brother, Charles Campbell and sister, Rebecca Sue Bailey.
Clarence is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Judy Campbell; daughter, Amy Sanders and her husband, Jayson; sons, Eric and Gregory Campbell; granddaughter, Dakota Jones and her husband, Christian; grandson, Jayden Sanders; great grandson, Carson Jones and one due in October of 2024; sister, Lanelle Worsham and her husband, John; and sister-in-law, Doris Campbell. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Per Mr. Campbell’s wishes, he was cremated, and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
