Ellen "Diane" Davis Mcelwee

Mrs. Ellen “Diane” McElwee, age 69, of Cedartown passed away Monday, April 18, 2022.

Mrs. McElwee was born May 7, 1952, in Cedartown to the late parents, B. Franklin Davis and Stella Popham Davis. Diane was a dedicated member of New Hope Fellowship Church. She had retired from Cedartown First Untied Methodist Church Day Care after serving the children of our community for over 20 years. Diane was devoted of her family whom she adored most.

Mrs. McElwee is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ricky Davis.

She is survived by her husband, David McElwee; children, Melissa Foor, Josh McElwee, and Valerie Earwood; grandchildren, Lane Foor, Landon Foor, Isabella Foor, Camden Foor, Katelynn Reynolds, Vada Reynolds, Abby Reynolds, Mela Reynolds, Kylan McElwee, Emily McElwee, and Konnor McElwee; two great grandchildren; brothers, Don Davis and Ken Davis. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services for Mrs. McElwee will be Thursday afternoon, April 21, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Caldwell and Rev. Steve Fetkenhour officiating. Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery.

Mrs. McElwee’s family will receive friends at Smith & Miller Funeral Home on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.
