Mrs. Eloise Lewis Smith, age 90, of Plainville, GA and formerly of Cedartown, GA passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017 at her residence.
She was born in Dawsonville, GA on February 23, 1927, a daughter of the late Walter Lewis and Minnie Voyles Lewis. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Smith “Preacher”; daughter, Geraldine Smith Arencibia “Dean”; daughter-in-law, Ann Smith; and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include three children: Ralph Smith, Sr. (Cheryl), Charlene Kuhlman (Eddie) and Billy Smith; eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sisters: Beatrice Egnot and Betty Ruth Boyd; brothers: Hubert and Buford Lewis; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the Smith & Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Redding officiating. Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will include: Ralph Smith, Jr., Bill Kuhlman, Freddy Arencibia, Jr., Randy Prewett, Dewayne Matney and Jason Cox. Honorary pallbearers will include: Tyler Prewett, Freddy Arencibia, Sr. and Corey Peck.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
