Eva Rodriguez

Mrs. Eva Barraza Rodriguez, age 89, of Durango, Mexico passed away Friday, March 27, 2021 in the comfort of her daughter’s home.

She was born in the beautiful countryside of Durango, Mexico on November, 16,1931. As the years passed her love for God and her faith grew. Both her children and grandchildren can recall the sound of her sweet trembling voice as she prayed for God’s blessings and guardian angels over them while they traveled. Her kind heart, love of family and prayer warrior spirit will forever be the blessing of her family.

Preceded in death by her parents Dionicio Barraza and Juana Ledezma, her husband Jose` Carmelo Rodriguez and daughter Elena Tovar. She is survived by sons: Rafael Orozco and Miguel Rodriguez along with her daughters: Maria Ortiz, Maria Campos, Eva Velasquez, and Tere Nevarez. Through her children this beautiful family has 26 grandchildren and a bountiful amount of great grandchildren that continue in her steps of love and faith.

We will celebrate the life of Eva on Tuesday, March 30th, in mass at Saint Bernadette Catholic church located in Cedartown, Georgia. Father Timothy Gallagher will be officiating the mass. Graveside service to follow after the mass where her adoring grandsons will be the active pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 29, 2021 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Smith & Miller Funeral Home.
