Eveline Coffman Garner

Mrs. Eveline Coffman Garner, age 90, of Rome and formerly of Cedartown, GA passed away Friday, March 3, 2023.

Mrs. Garner was born in Cedartown, GA on April 15, 1932, a daughter of the late Joe Coffman and the late Estelle Willingham Coffman. She had lived the greater part of her life in Cedartown where she attended Cedartown High School. Eveline and her late husband, Robert were former owners and operators of Garner TV Services in Cedartown. She loved working with her flowers, was an avid doll collector, and enjoyed decorating. Mrs. Garner was always dependable and took pride in her work. She worked in the Pro shop at the Goodyear Golf Course and worked in the Prospect Golf Course for around twenty years. Through the years she had attended Second Baptist Church of Cedartown.

In addition to her parents, Eveline was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Garner; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Ike Coffman; and brother-in-law, James Couey.

Survivors include her three children: Rick Garner and his wife, Gladette of Cedartown, Pam Herring and her husband, Preston of Rockmart, and Robby Garner and his wife Sara of Cedartown; two grandchildren: Bri Wilson and her husband, Berry, and Lacey Herring; three great-grandchildren: Cain Wilson and his fiance, Emma Chorney, Savannah Hermanstorfer and her husband Josh, and Brooklyn Wilson; sister, Joyce Couey of Cedartown; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Garner will be held Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Justin Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday afternoon from 2:00 pm until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
