Jackie Tinney

Mrs. Jackie Tinney, age 76, of Piedmont, AL, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021.

Mrs. Tinney was born in East Point, GA on December 29, 1944, a daughter of the late Robert Eugene Harper and the late Mary Swan Harper. Jackie grew up in East Point and had lived the past twenty years in Piedmont. She was a member of the Church of Christ and enjoyed yard selling, fishing and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Jackie was retired from Lockheed Martin Corporation.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, Ed Tinney; sister, Peggy Yarborough; and two brothers: Jimmy Harper and Bob Harper.

Survivors include her three sons: Mike Tinney, Piedmont, AL, Mark Tinney, Piedmont, AL and Tim Tinney, Carrollton; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Angie Brock, East Point; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Smith & Miller Funeral Home with Brother Matt Wallin officiating. Private family interment will follow.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:00 pm until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
