James Eddie Guice

Mr. James Eddie Guice, age 78, of Cedartown, passed away, Monday, April 17, 2023.

Mr. Guice was born July 23, 1944, in Cedartown, Georgia, son of the late Reverend Lewis B. Guice and Eddie Mae Galimore Guice.

Mr. Guice was a caring and devoted father who dedicated his life to providing for his children. He retired after a thirty-year career from Sheet Metal Local 85, which he always shared fond memories of with his family. He leaves a legacy of deep love to his family and all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Guice was preceded in death by a sister, Anelle Golden; and brothers, Junior Guice, Rudolph Guice, and Bill Guice. He had the blessed assurance he would go Home and see them again.

Mr. Guice is survived by a daughter, Jill McElwee and her husband, Tim; son, Jamie Guice and his wife, Jennifer; grandchildren, Meghan McElwee, Brody McElwee, Joshua Hunter, and Jamison Guice; and one great-grandchild, Bennie McElwee.

A private family memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.
