James Thomas Bollen

Mr. James Thomas Bollen, age 55, of Cedartown passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2019.

He was born in Rockmart, GA on January 4, 1964 son of the late Romas Bollen, Sr. and Margret Sorrells Girard. James was the type of person that had a heart of gold and willing to help anyway he could. He was a devoted member of Little Cedar Baptist Church in Cedartown. He enjoyed listening to music and collecting knifes. He greatest pride was his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Sonya Davis Bollen, to whom he married on June 18, 1994; children, Matthew Bollen, Sarah Helmes (Kyle), Rebekah Bollen (Marcos); grandchildren, Kanton Brown and Rexxavier Manaiza; brother, Romas Bollen “Jr”; sisters, Ann Strickland and Angela Price. Several Nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 24, 2019 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Harrell and Rev. Kermit Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow in Valley View Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Eddie Stroup officiating.

The family will be receiving friends Sunday, February 24, 2019 from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Matthew Bollen, Jr. Bollen, Marcos Manaiza, Kyle Helmes, Johnathan Davis, Dwight Davis, Aaron Wade and Steven Smith.
