J.C. Witt

Mr. James Cecil “JC” Witt, age 82, of Cedartown passed away, Monday June 17, 2024.

Mr. Witt was born August 20, 1941, son of the late James Witt and Bert “Tina” Witt. 

Mr. Witt proudly served his country in the United States Army in the Vietnam War and retired in 1985. He loved America and was a big Donald Trump supporter. He had many hobbies which included watching western movies, collecting guns, and cutting grass. He was a friendly person and made friends wherever he went. Mr. Witt loved his family and will be dearly missed. 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Witt was preceded in death by a brother, Charlie Witt. 

Mr. Witt is survived by his wife, Judy Witt; daughter, Kristy Maulding and her husband, Lee; stepdaughter, Carla Smith; grandchildren: Lane Redding ( Kalie), Hayden Winkelman (Jennilyn), Michael Newman, Chelsea Anderson, Grayson Redding, and Camdyn Redding; and seven great grandchildren. Additionally, he is survived by siblings: Markus Witt (Cindy), Elizabeth Underwood, Bobby Witt (Bobbie), and Thelma Jean Autry (Tom); and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Graveside services will be held at the Georgia National Cemetery, Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at 10:30 AM with Reverend Jason Slaughter officiating.
