Juanita Doeg

Mrs. Juanita Strickland Doeg, age 83, of Cedar Bluff, Alabama passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2023.

Mrs. Doeg was born December 6, 1939, in Cedartown to her late parents, Raleigh T. Strickland and Vassie Bowling Strickland. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Edward Strickland, James Strickland, Cecil Strickland and Kenneth Strickland; sisters, Pauline "Polly" Newsome, Evie L. Brown, and Mildred A. Zuker.

She is survived by her husband, Alan Doeg; brother Randall Strickland (Janice), sons, Billy Rudeseal and his wife, Vicky, and Kent Rudeseal and his wife, Brenda; step daughter, Darice Doeg; grandchildren, Carmen Zimmerman, Drew Rudeseal, Chris Rudeseal, and Chad Rudeseal; step grandchildren, Tyler Cheatwood, Jessica Cheatwood, Rheana Cheatwood along with several great-grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 14, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Smith & Miller Funeral Home.

Graveside funeral service for Mrs. Doeg will be held Saturday January 14, 2023, at 2:30 PM at Greenwood Cemetery with her nephew, Rev. Mark Strickland, officiating.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Drew Rudeseal, Zack Zimmerman, Tanner Zimmerman, Chris Rudeseal, Chyler Rudeseal, and Tyler Cheatwood.
