Kenneth H. (Dickey) Newberry

Kenneth H. (Dickey) Newberry, age 74, lifelong resident of Silver Creek, GA, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Floyd Medical Center. He was born on September 21, 1946 in Silver Creek, GA, to his late parents; Turman and Bertha Newberry. Mr. Newberry was retired from Hall Masonry, where he worked as a brick layer for many years. He also worked as a cattle farmer. Kenneth was a faithful member of Hillside Fellowship Church. Mr. Newberry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Jacob Newberry, 7 brothers and 2 sisters.

Mr. Newberry is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Sue Newberry of Silver Creek, GA, children: Joey Newberry and his wife, Phyllis of Aragon, GA, Jeff Newberry and his wife, Stacie of Silver Creek, GA, Karen Little and her husband, Danny of Silver Creek, GA, Misty Trahan and her husband, Ron of Silver Creek, GA, Christy Stephens and her husband, Quinton of Silver Creek, GA, 13 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and 2 on the way, sister, Jane McClough and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Kenneth Newberry will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Arrington and Pastor John Moates officiating. Interment will follow at Floyd Memory Gardens with Mr. Newberry's grandsons serving as pallbearers. Social distancing guidelines will be followed and mask are recommended.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home for a visitation on Sunday, January 10, 2021 from 12:00 PM until the service hour.
