Leon Roberson

Mr. Leon Franklin Roberson, age 73, of Buchanan, GA passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022.

Mr. Roberson was born in Rome, GA on February 19, 1948, a son of the late Henry Roberson and the late Ina Carnes Roberson. Leon was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and he was retired from Lockheed Martin with 33 years of dedicated service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife,, Elsie "Lisa" Roberson; daughter, Tara Murphy; son, Mark Ward; and brother, Lonzo Roberson.

Survivors include his two sons: Scott Ward and Richy Ward; brothers; James Roberson and Lewis Roberson; sisters, Ruth Pike and Judy Roberson; several step-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 11, 2022 in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens with American Legion Brown-Wright Post 12 providing military honors.

Pallbearers will include: Levi Self, James Roberson, Jr., Brandon Roberson, Keylan Roberson, Dave Roberson and Brad Roberson. Honorary pallbearers will include Cory Roberson and Anthony Roberson.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 11, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Smith & Miller Funeral Home.
