Mrs. Lillian Rudeseal Barber, age 89, of Cedartown passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020.
Lillian was born March 4, 1931 in Cedartown, Georgia to the late Thomas Arthur Rudeseal and the late Viola Garner Rudeseal. She is a longtime resident of Polk County. Lillian was a wife and homemaker who loved her Lord and family. She enjoyed gardening, playing several musical instruments and loved to paint and sing when she was able. Lillian, when able, attended Bethlehem Baptist Church in Rockmart, Georgia
In addition to her parents, Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Barber of 63 years; Sisters and brother in laws: Vivian Parham (Everett), Evelyn Bagwell (Joseph), Caro Woods (Joseph); Brother and sister in law: Thomas Rudeseal and Myrtle; Brother: Don Rudeseal; Brother in laws: Lee Barber, Gene Barber and Donald Barber and Sister in law, Sue Cook.
Lillian is survived by two young men she loved and considered as foster sons: Chris and Scott Tillery; Brother in laws: Max Cook, Floyd Barber and Sam Barber; Sister in laws: Dianne Barber, Nelle Barber, Shirlee Barber and Nell Burford; Her sitter, who was also a friend and caregiver, Vivian Pierce along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside and interment services will be held Friday, August 7, 2020, 4:00 PM at Northview Cemetery with Rev. Greg Robinson officiating.
The family will receive friends Friday, August 7, 2020 from 3:00 – 3:45 PM at Smith and Miller Funeral Home. Social distancing guidelines will apply, and masks are recommended.
Pallbearers will be: Max Cook, Clint Cook, Jessie Barber, Daniel Barber, Jerry Camp and Greg Barber.
