Ms. Linda Faye Kelley, age 79, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024.
Ms. Kelley was born December 25, 1944, in Rome, Georgia, daughter of the late Hugh Rogers and Bonnie Rogers.
Ms. Kelley was especially fond of cats and loved to have as many as she could. She found joy in simple things like afternoons spent sitting on the porch, crossword puzzles, coloring, and listening to music. She enjoyed watching old movies and she loved to travel. More than anything, she loved her family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren who were very special to her. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Robert Kelley, Jr.
She is survived by her son, John Robert Kelley, III and his wife, Stacey, and her daughter, Stacie Newberry and her husband, Jeff; her grandchildren, who she dearly loved: John Robert Adams (Kaley), Chris Brownholtz, Aaron Butler(Jenn), Nikki Butler (Nicole), and Nick Butler(Brooklyn); great grandchildren: Cara, Eliste, Oliver, Owen, and one on the way. Additionally, she is survived by two sisters in law, Emerye Waits, and Debra Bentley, and several cousins.
Graveside funeral services to celebrate her life will be held Sunday, May 5, 2024, at 2:00 PM, in the Bellview Baptist Church Cemetery, with Reverend Earl Vaughn officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Brownholtz, Aaron Butler, Nick Butler, and Jeff Newberry.
