Mrs. Marsha Garner Brown, age 70 of Rockmart, Georgia passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021.
Marsha was born April 13, 1950 in Cedartown, Georgia to the late John Lewis Garner and Audrey Pruitt Garner. Before meeting Phil, she was also blessed to live with the Solon and Della Beals family in Pima, Arizona. Marsha had a home daycare for many years and she raised many children. She loved baking and was famous for her birthday cakes and pumpkin bread. Marsha was a faithful member of Bible Baptist Church in Rockmart. She was an encourager and mentor to everyone and a loving Nanna to her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years Phil Brown; sister, Teresa Jones, and brother, Joel Garner.
Survivors include her children: Tara Stringer (Jason), Jada Deaton (Greg), Keri Bush (Kevin); grandchildren: Caleb Stringer, Madelyn Stringer, Seth Stringer, Jared Stringer, Summer Rose Stringer, Caroline Stringer, Maggie Deaton, Audrey Deaton, Abigail Deaton, Noah Deaton, Jacob Bush, Ava Bush, Nora Kate Bush and Anna Bush; brothers: John Garner (Kim), Mike Garner (Renee), Terry Garner (Janelle), Jimmy Garner, David Holcomb; sister, Pat Jones along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 12:00 Noon in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home. Officiating will be Brother Jason Stringer and the Eulogy will be given by her grandson, Caleb Stringer.
Pallbearers will be Caleb, Seth and Jared Stringer, Mark Garner, David Bush and TJ Brown
The following will serve as Honorary Pallbearers: Jacob Bush, Noah Deaton and Greg Jones.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the service hour. Social distancing guidelines will apply and mask are recommended.
