Martha Massey

Ms. Martha Massey, age 84, passed away Monday, November 4, 2024.

Martha was born March 12, 1940, in Cedartown, Georgia, daughter of the late Gordon Lee Reddish and Emmy Carter Reddish. 

Martha was a seamstress for Arrow Shirt Company for twenty five years. She enjoyed singing and listening to gospel music, and especially loved Loretta Lynn. She loved flowers and and spending time with her family. More than anything, Martha loved to spend time reading her Bible. 

In addition to her parents, Martha is preceded in death by Ernestine Rampley, Patricia Jackson, Peggy Terry, Barbara Thornton, Chris Reddish, Tony Reddish, and Brooke Massey. 

Martha is survived by her daughter, Celia Massey; sons, Charles Massey, and Danny Massey; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and sister, Linda Hutchings. 

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home with Reverend Danny Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens. 

Her family will receive friends, also on Thursday, from 1:00 PM until the service hour at Smith & Miller Funeral Home.
