Mary Francis Jarrett

Mrs. Mary Francis Jarrett, age 74, passed away, Monday, June 12, 2023.


Mrs. Jarrett was born in Cedartown, Georgia, February 15, 1949, daughter of the late Fred and Bruxie Wells.


Mrs. Jarrett was a member of Rolling Hills Baptist Church in Cedartown. Crossword puzzles and crocheting were some of her favorite things to do; and she always enjoyed an afternoon spent fishing. Above all, Mrs. Jarrett loved her family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and will be dearly missed.


In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jarrett is preceded in death by a son, Larry Jarrett, and sisters, Sarah Williams, and JoAnn Crabb.


Mrs. Jarrett is survived by her loving husband, Mr. Jackie Jarrett; children: Bobby Jarrett and his wife, Leisa, Teresa Hames and her husband, Jerry, and Melinda Owen and her husband, Brian; daughter-in-law, Lynn Jarrett; and grandchildren, Sgt. Larry Jarrett and his wife, Sgt. Samantha Jarrett, Kristen Wilson, Jacob Jarrett, Brooke Gable and her husband, Justin, Taylor Campbell and her husband, Justin, and Brandon Hames and his wife, Destinee. Additionally, she is survived by twelve great-grandchildren: Lexi Jarrett, Kerra Wilson, Jackson Gable, Cooper Gable, Gannon Campbell, Laylan Campbell, Mackenzie Hames, Mallory Hames, Lain Gable, Jaylei Gable, Lila Campbell, and Harley Odom; and siblings, Martha Ellis, Barbara Clark, Buddy Wells, and Walter Wells.


Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held, Friday, June 16, 2023, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home, with Pastor Jeff Hulsey and Reverend Randy Atkins officiating. Interment will follow in Valley View Baptist Church Cemetery.


Her family will receive friends, Thursday evening, June 15, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at Smith & Miller Funeral Home.


The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Randall Ellis, Kenneth Timms, J.E. Clark, Scott Timms, Shawn Neely, and Stephen Cooper. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Brayden Clark and David Jarrett.
