Mary "Elizabeth" Roberts

Mary "Elizabeth" Roberts, age 88, of Stockbridge, Georgia, and formerly of Cedartown passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024, in Stockbridge, Georgia. She was born on July 20, 1935, in Rome, Georgia, loving daughter to Winfred Thomas Lewis and Annie Pinkston Lewis.

Elizabeth dedicated her life working hard and eventually retiring from Kroger. Her work ethic and commitment were truly admirable, making a positive impact in her community through her career. One of Elizabeth's greatest joys was spending time with her family creating memories. In her spare time, she could be found expanding her horizons through the pages of countless books that enriched her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, William "Bill" Roberts, and her siblings, Bobby Lewis, Thomas Lewis and sister Frances Ponder.

Ms. Roberts is survived by her son, Danny Roberts; grandchildren: Brandy Roberts, Matt Roberts, and Clint Roberts, as well as great-grandchildren: Alexia Roberts and Matthew Roberts. Mary's presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by her sisters: Louise Blankenship, Joan Morgan, Jeanette Ayers, along with nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Her family will receive friends Wednesday, February 28th, 2024 from 11:00 AM until noon at Smith & Miller Funeral Home. 

A Graveside Service will be held to honor and celebrate her life on February 28th, 2024 at 12:20 PM from Northview Cemetery in Cedartown.
