Mary Williams

Mrs. Mary Williams, age 82, of Rockmart, GA, passed away on January 27, 2021. She was born on December 21, 1938 in Rockmart, GA, to her parents; Robert and Grace Marie Chupp Weaver. Mrs. Williams lived all her life in Polk County and was a faithful member of Westside Baptist Church. She enjoyed puzzle books and front porch rocking. Mary was a loving wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Franklin Williams, her first husband, William Edward Atkins, two daughters: Kathy Dianna Atkins and Susan Marie Atkins, and two sisters: Earlene Atkins and Elizabeth Moss.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her sons: Michael Atkins and his wife, Debbie of Cedartown, GA, Jeffrey Atkins and his wife, Debra of Cedartown, GA, stepdaughter, Deconda Holliday and her husband, Wayne of Rockmart, GA, stepson, Ronald Williams and his wife, Patricia of Rockmart, GA, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, brother, Ben Weaver of Cedartown, GA, and sister, Robbie Jenkins of Rockmart, GA.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Williams will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Robert Wright and Rev. Buddy Privett officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be the following gentlemen: Jeremy Tracy, Levi Tracy, Konnor Causey, Robert Atkins, Brian Atkins and Hunter Atkins. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the following gentlemen: Perry Weaver, Freddie Hulsey, Keith Campbell, Kenny Carnes, Tony Jenkins and Ricky Weaver.
