Nellie Starley

Mrs. Nellie Starley, age 75, of Cedartown passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021.
She was born on November 15, 1945, in Rome, Ga. She was the daughter of the late William Trotter, Sr and Louise Wilson Trotter.

Nellie enjoyed traveling with family and friends, hanging out by the pool, and visiting Waffle House and drinking coffee. She enjoyed her dogs and dressing up and going out.

Mrs. Starley was preceded in death by her parents, William and Louise Trotter; sister, Loraine Broom; brothers, William Trotter, Jr., James Trotter, Ray Trotter, Arthur Trotter, and Alvin Trotter.

Survivors include her husband, Jessie Starley, daughter Angela and her husband Bobby Bannister; grandchildren Benjiman Knight (April) Miranda Coley (Paul), Stephanie Rayburn (Robert), and Rhonda Kerr; great-grandchildren, Brianna Jordan, Martin Jordan, Claramae Coley, Kevin Spann, and Ryan Wawsczyk; brother, Wayne Trotter (Elise) and Marshall Trotter (Faye). Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Starley will be held Monday, August 9, 2021 at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Smith and Miller Funeral Home with Brother Jamie Newsome officiating. Interment will follow at Bellview Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, August 9 from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour.
