Norma June Debo

Ms. Norma June Debo, age 85, of Cedartown, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2024. 

Ms. Debo was born May 25, 1939, in Centralia, Illinois, daughter of the late Ruben Roper and Esther Righettini. 

Ms. Debo was born and raised in Illinois, and moved to California after high school. There she began a twenty year career at Boeing Aircraft Company contributing to the Space Shuttle Program, a job she was incredibly proud of. After retirement Ms. Debo relocated to Cedartown, Georgia, fifteen years ago to be closer to her daughter. Since moving to Cedartown, she became an active member of Cherokee Golf and Country Club, where she formed lasting friendships and embraced her love of golf. As an avid golfer, she not only enjoyed the game but also cherished the social life the club provided. Ms. Debo loved to read, travel, and spend time with friends and family. 

In addition to her parents, Ms. Debo is preceded in death by a son, David Charles Debo; husband, Charles Olan Debo; and sisters, Eilene Peterson, and Rita Patterson.

Ms. Debo is survived by her daughter, Tracy Christian; grandchildren: Charles Lee Owen (Jasmine), Brian Matthew Owen, and Robert Douglas Owen (Belle); great-grandchildren: Grant Charles Owen, and Indie Leigh Owen; nieces and nephews: Mike Patterson, Becky Guajardo, Lynn Hernandez, Robert Rarick, and Michael Rarick; and multiple cousins. 

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
