Randolph "Randy" Meeker

Reverend Randolph “Randy” Alan Meeker, age 68, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024.

Randy was born December 9, 1955, son of the late Charles Meeker and Burnese Meeker.

Randy was an ordained minister of the Gospel. He loved his church, Little Cedar Church, where he was a faithful member. In his spare time, he loved to spend an afternoon hunting or fishing. Above all, Randy loved his family, and was a devoted and loving husband. His presence in the lives of those who loved him will be deeply missed. He leaves a legacy of faithfulness, love, and kindness.

In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Scott Meeker, and brother-in-law, Robin Stargell.

Randy is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Mrs. Gwen Lee Meeker; siblings, Andrew Meeker and his wife, Heather, Sherry Stargell, and Crystal Willbanks and her husband, Ralph; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home, with Brother Kermit Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery, with Brother Ken Patterson officiating.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Dennis Alexander, Zach Alexander, Eddie Maddox, Tommy Wheat, Daniel Ballard, Kenneth Dawson, Tony Dawson, and Keith Millican.

Randy’s family will receive friends, also on Sunday, from 1:00 PM until the service hour at Smith & Miller Funeral Home.
