Mrs. Rebecca “Becky” Gossett Lewis, age 79, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2021 from a sudden illness.
Becky was born June 24, 1942, in Rome, Georgia to the late Donald L. Gossett and the late Ollie Mae Garrison Gossett. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Cedartown. Becky was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, shopping, lunch with the girl’s club and watching her hummingbirds. She was a passionate traveler and an avid reader. Becky loved her family and prayed with her husband every evening.
Becky was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Ollie Gossett and her son, Patrick Lewis.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Ted “JT” Lewis whom she married November 5, 1965; daughter, Pam Graves and her husband Chuck Graves; grandchildren: Kelsei (Bobby) Poulin, Emily Graves, Jeremiah Graves and Dave Brock; great-grandchildren: Presley Poulin, Tanner Graves and Dvyn Brock; brother, Randall Gossett and his wife Teresa along with several nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate Becky’s life will be held Friday, August 6, 2021 at 4:00 PM in the chapel of the Smith & Miller Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Rhodes and Pastor Chuck Graves.
The family will receive friends Friday from 2:00 until the service hour.
