Ricky L. Reeves

Mr. Ricky Reeves, age 58, of Cedartown, GA passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017 following a lengthy illness.

He was born in Rockmart, Georgia on January 28, 1959 the son of the late James C. and Margaret Dutton Reeves.

Mr. Reeves lived most of his life in Cedartown, living it to the fullest. He enjoyed the outdoors through hunting, fishing or simply riding backroads.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother: Steven Reeves and sister Linda Paulette Souder.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Venable Reeves; children: Misty Reeves, Jennifer Deems and Troy Deems, and grandchildren: Logan Patterson, Conner Cruz, Brayden and Braxton Deems; brother, James "Dink" Reeves. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of
Smith and Miller Funeral Home with Reverend Richard Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in the Anderson-Reeves Cemetery in Rockmart.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Logan Patterson, Troy Deems, Justin Souder, Jason Souder, Jeffrey Reeves and David McKinzey.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 26, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Smith and Miller Funeral Home.
