Mr. Samuel Egnot, age 91, of Cedartown passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019.
Mr. Egnot was born as a grandson of a Russian immigrant on May 30, 1927, in Erie, Pennsylvania and son of the late Samuel and Neda Orloff Egnot.
He faithfully served our country in the United States Navy. Throughout his working career, he was a self-employed entrepreneur owning and operating several businesses. He considered himself an extrovert, but quiet and shy on the inside. He surrendered to the Lord’s service and devoted himself to seminary school. After seminary, he always used his God given talents of business, music and preaching as a gift to lead others to know Christ.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Neda Egnot.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Beatrice Lewis Egnot; children, Greg & Suzette Egnot, Lyn Knight, Joni & Craig Jenkins, Sharon Baker and Samantha & Kevin O’Hara; grandchildren, Thomas Price, Jennifer Runyan, Katie Runyan, Brendan O’Hara, Kelly O’Hara, Stephen O’Hara; great granddaughter, Avery Price; brother & sister in law, Tim & Barb Egnot; sister, Lyriel Claire. Several other Egnot, Gravett and Lewis family members also survive.
Mr. Egnot’s wishes were to be cremated and the family will hold a service to celebrate his life at Worldview Baptist Church on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Doyle Kelley officiating.
The family has requested that flowers please be omitted and memorial contributions be made in his memory to Worldview Baptist Church 500 College Drive, Cedartown, GA. 30125.
