Ms. Tina Camille Jarrell, age 52, of Cedartown passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023.
She was born in Rome, Georgia, July 25, 1970, a daughter of James Michael Jarrell and Betty Fortune Jarrell.
She is preceded in death by her father, James Michael Jarrell, and her great nephew Hudson Landers.
Tina was a lifelong learner and earned degrees from West Georgia College, Berry College, and Jacksonville State University. This included earning her Specialist Degree in Teaching/Education. She was an educator for over twenty years in the Polk County School District. She taught and guided many students at Westside Elementary over the years. She loved her students and coworkers tremendously.
Tina enjoyed many things throughout her life prior to her illness. She loved music and in her younger years she could be found line dancing on the weekends. She attended bullriding events and concerts frequently. She enjoyed shopping any chance she could. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved each one of them with all of her heart. Her nieces and nephews were her world. She treated each one as they were her own. She was one of six girls and loved her sisters deeply. She loved and treated each brother-in-law as though they were her brother.
Tina lived her life fearlessly and strongly. She faced each challenge head on and never backed down. She was a one-of-a-kind person and will be greatly missed by all.
Tina is survived by her mother, Betty Jarrell; sisters, Karen Forrister and her husband, Ken, Lisa Landers and her husband, Joe, Gina Marchbanks and her husband, Tommy, Bobbie Youngblood and her husband, Jeff, and Tammie Cornejo and her husband, Efren; nieces, Jayca Landers, Maggie Marchbanks Escalante, Taylor Youngblood, and Lauren Pyles; nephews, Kam Forrister, Korbin Forrister, CJ Landers, Jaron Landers, Hunter Marchbanks, Trevor Spinks, and Luke Pyles; great nieces and nephews, Knox Forrister, Alexa Forrister, Cinsleigh Landers, Sophia Ortiz, Stacey Rios-Ortiz, Macie Marchbanks, Brantley Pyles, and River Pyles. Several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.
The family will receive friends Monday, January 9, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Smith & Miller Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at 4:00 PM in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home with Brother Hunter Marchbanks and Brother Tommy Marchbanks officiating with Mr. John Triplett delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
The following nephews will serve as pallbearers: Kam Forrister, Korbin Forrister, CJ Landers, Jaron Landers, Hunter Marchbanks, Trevor Spinks, and Luke Pyles.
