Troy Melvin Gable

Mr. Troy Melvin Gable, age 87, passed away, Wednesday, July 3, 2024.

Mr. Gable was born July 21, 1936, in Woodstock, Georgia, son of the late Ulus Franklin Gable and Nellie Bell Gable. 

Mr. Gable was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He retired after a long career at Winn Dixie and later went to work as a manager at Walmart. Mr. Gable was full of life and loved to dance. He loved his church, Victory Baptist Church, and enjoyed any time he could spend with his children and grandchildren. 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Gable was preceded in death by siblings, T.M. Gable, Margaret Nealey, JoAnn Jones, Walter Gable, and Hoyt Gable. 

Mr. Gable is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Harriett Gable; children, Melissa Robinson and her husband, Greg, Michelle Tucker and her husband, David, Kym Garrett and her husband, Brad, and Carol Stein and her husband, David; grandchildren: Aaron Huskins (Raquel), Zachary Huskins, Michael Huskins (Reba), Jeremy Huskins (Emily), Cord Cunningham, Bailey Garrett, Liam Stein, and Riley Stein; and great grandchildren: Amelia Huskins, Arthur Huskins, Liaerton Huskins, and Marisol Huskins. He is also survived by siblings: Jim Gable, and Patsy McDaniel, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Services to celebrate his life will be held Sunday, July 21, 2024, at 3:00 PM, at Victory Baptist Church, with Pastor Barry Snapp officiating. 

Mr. Gable's family will receive friends, also on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Victory Baptist Church from 2:00 PM until the service hour.
