William Anthony Duke

Mr. William Anthony “Billy” Duke, age 65, of Cedartown, passed away. Monday, May 22, 2023.

Billy was born, December 25, 1957, in Austell, Georgia, son of the late Ned Douglas Duke and Opal Ann Freeman Duke.

Billy was a loving father and grandfather, and was a carpenter for many years. Billy had many longtime friends who he shared good times and fond memories with. His most important and cherished role in life was being a loving and caring father and pawpaw. Billy will be dearly missed. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. 

In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by Mrs. Karen Mosley Duke; and two sisters: Carlann Duke Power and Adale Duke Clark Pennock

Billy is survived by his daughters: Brandy Elicker and her husband, Dustin, Brittany Dutton and her husband, Justin, Jennifer Dixon, and Wendi Perales; grandchildren who he dearly loved: Dalton Duke, Callie Sue McCauley, Jaci Dutton, Elly Elicker, Emma Elicker, Alec Beecham, Jessee Beecham, Bryce Beecham, R.J. Staggs, Jennalee Staggs, Leah Staggs, Rylea Staggs, Kathryn Perales, and Gabriel Perales; and great grandson, Kingston Beecham. Additionally, he is survived by his stepfather, Frank Baxter, and sisters, Melanie Renfroe, Millicent Boston, and Elizabeth Freeman, all of Dallas, Georgia.

In keeping with his wishes, Billy will be cremated, and no formal memorial services are planned at this time.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the home of Donnie Mosley and Deborah Brown, 21 Ridgeview Drive, Cedartown, Georgia, Friday, May 26, 2023, at 6:00 PM.
