William L Venable

Mr. William “Larry” Venable, age 73, of Cedartown passed away, Tuesday, July 2, 2019.

He was born May 2, 1946 in Rome, GA to the late William C. Venable and Kathleen Lewis Boatner. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and reloading ammunition. He was a veteran who served in the United States Army with a rank of E-5. Larry was a self-employed contractor most of his life.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jessica Venable; sisters, Faye Venable Deaton and Linda Venable.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Newsome Venable; son, Will Venable and his companion, Hannah Rickman; grandson, Jackson Venable; brother, David Venable; sisters, Noot Short and Sherry Baxter along with several nieces and nephews.

The service to celebrate the life of Mr. Venable will be held Sunday, July 7, 2019, at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Jamie Newsome officiating.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Smith & Miller Funeral Home from 2:00 PM until the service hour.
